| Furmats for 20 mm
Over the last months I finished two smaller fur mats in 60 x 60 cm. I did them for a customer in the USA who wants to use them for 20 mm miniatures (scale 1:72). Two more pieces in this scale are planed to be done in the next months. (Note: Normaly I don't accept orders for fur mats). The Tank and the (sadly unpainted) Grenadier are both 20 mm and are added to show the relative scale.
The next pictures show the first fur mat. Starting with a WiP shot showing the mat before painting: Some pictures of the finished piece:
The next photos show the second fur mat. This time I added some bomb craters and a dirt road:

The third piece of 60x60 cm furmat is finally finished. This time I followed the sketch of my customer and did a straight dirtroad and an other cornfield. Here is a picture of the finished piece:
Here are two pictures with the last two pieces placed side by side. The second picture shows the two pieces with an towel put underneath to simulate lower hills:
The following pictures show my 1:72 Tiger and the lone but finally painted Grenadier placed on top of my furmat. The pictures were taken in my garden and instead of hills or forests you sometimes see some plants and planters in the background.

The next two pictures show the rolled up furmats. This is one of the great advantages of this kind of terrain - it can easyly be stored and transported.
The fourth and final piece of 60x60 cm furmat is finally finished. This time I followed the sketch of my customer and did a straight dirtroad and an other cornfield. Here is a picture of the shaed but still unpainted piece:
Here is a picture of the finished piece:
Here are some picture of the finished piece together with the last two matts. I paid attention to position the small dirt road to make the new matt compatible with the other ones. The result is a set of four terrain matts that is fully compatible and modular:
My customer demanded some smaller patches of fur (gras) to cover the bomb craters of the second matt. He has in mind to use the matts for his napoleonic armies too and this crates would be much to big for this period. So I did 10 smaller oieces of gras in differnt sizes and shapes. The matt without and with the finished patches can be seen on the following two pictures:
Before I dispatched the matts for the long travel to the USA I took the change of a late sunny autumnday to take some picture of the three finished pieces together with lots of my other terrain pieces. The next three pictures show the layout:
And finally many picture of the Tiger I and lone German Grenadier (20 mm) in the setup from above:
