Some times ago I purchased a lot of AT-43 Red Block Walkers from Rackham. Lately I converted and weathered three of the smaller ones as test models.

I intended to equip the walkers with two of the HMGs. So I built a mold and cast some in resin. do

I painted the new parts in the ground colors. Then I did some heavy weathering, mostly with oil colors and dry pigments. The bases were painted and drybrushed.

Here comes pictures of the painted models:

Recently I started to work on one of the big Walkers. I couldn't resist to do some conversion work on this one too.

The following conversions had been done: added

- making a double rocked lancher and drilling our 3 rockets to look like they have been fired
- adding some iron steps from wire for the crew to climb the walker
- gluing a recast of an old mashinegun to the front of the walker for better defence against near targets
- changed a weaponarm for a hydraulic grab from a german walker from DUST
- added a spare spotlight from an other East Block Walker and some cable from wire
- glued an antenna to the top of the walker

Next step will be the painting of the new parts, basing and heavy weathering of the whole model. It stands already on my workbench but I never know if I may get distracted  by other projects.

To be continued ....
