| 28mm German Fallschirmjäger from
BAM
I started preparing some of the Fallschirmjäger from BAM (BoltActionMiniatures). This will be the first miniatures that will be painted as commission work for me by a very talented painter. This miniature line from BAM is fantastic but is still missing some strongly needed minatures. I tried a lot of different combinations to build useful platoons from the existing miniatures. I don`t want to use the same (unconverted) miniature two times in my force. So I needed at least two more LMGs. So I started converting a Gunner with MG 42 and a loader with box and extra ammunition. The result can be found on the next pictures.
I also needes some anti tank weapons. So I simply added a Panzerfaust (from BAM) and some rope (with ProCreate) to two soldiers.
I built a Platoon Command and two Fallschirmjäger Squads. I used most of the miniatures from BAM that are available at the moment and 3 miniatures from ARTIZAN (MG 42, Loader and Squadleader).
Here you can see 5 pictures with the prepaired and based 25 models - ready to ship for painting. The Platoon Command (all BAM)
The first Fallschirmjäger Squad (BAM with 1 conversion and 3 ARTIZAN)
The second Fallschirmjäger Squad (all BAM with 3 conversions)
Finally it is time for a follow-up with the painted miniatures Nearly one year ago I recieved the pacel with the painted miniatures. Some of you might have recognized the painting style - yes the miniatures have been painted by Tom Weiss (Link: TWFigurine). Some years ago I've seen his beautiful painted German Grenadiers from ARTIZAN on a convention. I löved them so much that I took some pictures and had to start a WW II project for my self. Toms work has been an inspiration since that days and I always wanted one of his painted miniatures as an default. So I had been very happy as he accepted to paint some WW II miniatures as a commission work two years ago. As you can see in the following pictures he did a fantastic paintjob on my Fallschirmjäger miniatures again. Last weekend I finished the last terrain pieces for a WW II layer in my display case - the copplestone road sections. Suddenly I was in the mood to take some pictures and finally add them to my homepage.
An overview picture of the layer in my glass cabinet.
